When I “Fall into the World of Extraordinary” I always want to….

…write the kind of book that will give my readers an experience that will want them coming back for more. If I learn they’ve laughed and/or cried along with my characters, then I know I’ve done my job as an author. There’s no better feeling!

If you could choose anyone you wanted for your book cover model(s), who would they be?

So many handsome men to pick from but it would have to be Richard Armitage. I can just see him as one of my Knights of Berwyck!

As a current resident of the San Francisco Bay area, I enjoy living in an area of so many opportunities.  An Information Technology Specialist by day, I transform into an historical and time travel romance author at night awakening the soul one heart at a time.

I am a member of the San Francisco Area of Romance Writers of America chapter along with belonging to the national organization, the Beau Monde and the Bluestocking Belles.  Being a single mom, I tend to write mostly on the weekends, evenings, or whenever I have time to spare.  I am never without a notebook in case I feel inspired.

I began my writing in 2008 after a friend I had met at some training encourage me to write the novel I had always wanted to compose. It had been put on the back burner for years while I raised my children. Intrigued with the idea, I started the process on that Memorial Day weekend while my daughters and I traveled from rural Nevada to visit my mother in the Bay Area. My girls were true gems as they gave me their input on names and ideas on that long road trip across the desert. I still have all those scraps of paper to this day. It took me 2 1/2 years to complete my first attempt at a manuscript although it still needs a lot of work. This first novel is entitled One Moment in Time.

With the completion of my first manuscript, I seem to have opened Pandora’s Box since I now have characters “speaking” to me at all hours of the day and night. Perhaps this is a good sign of future books to come. 2012 was extremely productive for my writing endeavors. I finished If My Heart Could See You in January, started a time travel romance entitled For All of Ever in February finishing in May, and then wrote its sequel during the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November entitled Only for You. I  also began A Knight To Call My Ownthat is also available for sale at online retailers. 2013 was a pretty bad year for a lot of us but I still managed to write again during NaNoWriMo to finish To Follow My Heart.

In 2014, I saw my first self-published work, If My Heart Could See You, hit Amazon’s bestseller list at #3 for the eBook three days after the paperback released. I was stunned and have been humbly grateful to my readers who have made all my books hit those wonderful charts.

In 2015 I wrote a short sweet novella entitled Under the Mistletoe in a box set with the Bluestocking Belles and started my next time travel entitled Promises Made at Midnight. 2016’s work in progress includes a prequel called Nothing but Time to my full length Regency novel, One Moment in Time, that I hope to publish soon. My next novellea with the Bluestocking Belles is entitled A Kiss for Charity in our holiday box set, Holly and Hopeful Hearts. As you can plainly see, there isn’t any grass growing under my feet when it comes to writing and this includes holding down a day job!

When I’n not writing, I love to read historical and time travel novels (naturally) and am a huge NASCAR fan. As a matter-of-fact, I do some of my best writing listening to the hum of the engines in the background! I love to camp although I haven’t had the time since I’ve moved back to the city. I also enjoy hiking, the beach, and checking out our National Parks when the opportunity presents itself.
