take it apart and see how it works! As someone on the Autism Spectrum (I have Asperger’s Syndrome), it’s easier to understand something if I can break it down into a formula or pattern. Thus, when I delve into something marvelous, my brain immediately makes me want to “peek behind the curtain” to see what makes it so amazing. Once I understand it, I can appreciate the marvel and magic all the more.

I tend to write about characters on the fringe of society: thieves, assassins, beggars, outcasts, and other outliers. If I can understand how the system works, it’s possible for me to find ways for my characters to move through the shadows unseen. Perhaps not the noblest perspective, but it makes for some VERY enjoyable stories!

You have been invited to an exclusive compound that is prepared for the Zombie apocalypse, however everyone must have a skill to enter. What would be your skill to enter this club?

Aside from my ability to haul stuff, serve as a human meat shield, and hold a door like a boss, I’d probably end up organizing all the provisions. My extreme Tetris skills make me perfectly suited for filling every square inch of storage space.

I totally want to kick things up a notch and go skydiving. If only I could find parachutes in my size…
