LoriRObinettWhen I “Fall into the World of Extraordinary” I always want to…

…lift my head, breathe in deeply, and spread my arms wide to take it all in. It would be like falling into a cloud, being surrounded by wispy clouds, unicorns and fluffy kittens.

Again, for the apocalypse, you can only carry one backpack…. What would you pack?

Oh, wow. That’s tough. I only went backpacking once. It was a 4-day, 3-night trip through the Boundary Waters between Wisconsin and Canada. I was one of the adults, leading a group of pre-teen girls. Did I mention I’ve only been backpacking once? I learned a few things on that trip, so . . . I’d pack a thin, heavy blanket (or maybe one of those cool space-agey metallic blankets), a water purifier, a knife, a firestarter, my Walther + ammo (so I can channel my inner James Bond) plus all the jerky and peanuts I could fit in there – because I’m pretty sure I’d starve if I have to fend for myself. Oh – and vodka. Lots of vodka.

Name something on your bucket list you HAVE done and name something you HAVEN’T done yet.

One of my bucket list things was to find a ghost town. Several years ago, the hubs and I took a Jeep Wrangler (rented, because I didn’t want to risk tearing up my own) up and over Tin Cup Pass in Colorado. It was AMAZING, like being on another planet. We managed to find a couple of ghost towns, but one in particular was really cool – it was literally nothing but a handful of leftover foundations and bits of sidewalks, but it was isolated, off the beaten path and something few people had found.

Something I haven’t done yet – gone to a Dallas Cowboys football game. Someday . . .
