InD’Scribe Author Beth Carter

Headshot 2016 hands under chin faveWhen I “Fall into the World of Extraordinary” I want to…

…escape, be entertained, and feel as though there’s nothing else happening in the world. For that reason, when I write, I strive to give the reader the same experience whether it’s a roller coaster romance, hunky heroes, despicable villains, edge-of-your-seat suspense, or laugh-out-loud moments.

Name something on your bucket list you HAVE done and name something you HAVEN’T done yet.

I swam with sharks. Okay, they were nurse sharks in the Bahamas, but still, after we got out, the handlers said they could have crushed us to death. Notice they told us AFTER we were surrounded by over 100 sharks. Stupidly, I reached out to touch them like they were dogs. They were as rough as sandpaper.

Something I haven’t yet done that’s on my bucket list (and there are many items on that list!) is going whale watching in Alaska. I’d be afraid the whales would top over the boat but I’d chance it. After all, I’ve swum with sharks! 🙂

Award-winning novelist Beth Carter pens novels and children’s picture books. Her novel, SLEEPING WITH ELVIS, is a contemporary romance about an Elvis impersonator and was awarded a 2017 Raven Award Runner-up for “Best Contemporary” by Uncaged Book Reviews. Her debut novel, THURSDAYS AT COCONUTS, won the 2015 RONE award for best “Women’s Fiction/Chick Lit Novel” by InD’tale Magazine, as well as “Best Debut Author” by BTS Books. Her novelette, SANTA BABY, appears in the Christmas anthology, SIZZLE IN THE SNOW. The author’s four picture books include: SOUR POWER, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE?, SANTA’S SECRET, and THE MISSING KEY. Formerly a bank VP, the author is often found writing while sipping a skinny vanilla latte at Starbucks—or at T.J. Maxx.
